Can you tell us something about yourself?
Hello! I'm Maura Grey, working in Boston, MA. I found my way into the proteomics field through software for DIA and DDA acquisition experiments while getting my degree in Pre-Med. Upon graduating, I decided to pursue the bigger variable - how did the data arrive at the software to start with? Specifically, how do you prepare your samples in the first place?
What's that you're doing?
I work with the commercial team, which means reaching out to and talking with the researchers and scientists about how things are going in the lab. By providing high-quality sample prep solutions, we enable them to analyze their samples much more efficiently. This, in turn, helps researchers and scientists reach potential breakthroughs in understanding disease so much faster. They're faced with a lot of unique challenges, and getting to help them solve a bit of the puzzle is really rewarding to me!
What brought you to PreOmics®?
I like a challenge! It's all about the variables. Standardizing sample preparation workflows has a wide-ranging impact on how we can look at and compare results across studies, and across labs. There's an opportunity here to do work that leads to more robust and credible research outcomes. Maybe one day, my health might depend on the results.
Anything else you would like to add?
It's a marathon, not a sprint. Let's talk about where you want to be.
