Can you tell us something about yourself?

Hello everyone, my name is Katrin. I’m a biochemist by training, and outside of my work at PreOmics, I enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities – from hiking and cycling to cross-country skiing.

I joined PreOmics seven years ago as a researcher and have had the opportunity to grow into different roles and take on new responsibilities over the years. About a year ago, I transitioned into the product management team, where I really enjoy the collaborative nature of the work. Now, I’m also excited about the new chapter ahead as part of the Biognosys Group.

What's that you're doing?

As a product management team, we support our products throughout their entire lifecycle – from the initial idea all the way to discontinuation. In doing so, we work closely with colleagues in research and development, operations, sales, and marketing.

In my role as team lead, my responsibilities are very diverse. I focus on supporting my team, connecting people, and finding the best ways for us to collaborate.

What brought you to PreOmics®?

I came across LC-MS–based proteomics during my master’s studies, and I have to admit that while I was fascinated by the potential of this analytical technique, I was a bit put off by the tedious and error-prone sample preparation we had to do back then. So I was very excited when I discovered PreOmics and learned about their robust, easy-to-use sample preparation kits. I immediately knew it would be a great fit for me, so I applied for a position.

Anything else you would like to add?

It's all about teamwork! I love seeing people bring their strengths together and make things happen. I'm super happy that I found this open and supportive work environment here.
